There’s nothing like summer in the city, and we want to make sure that everyone at Kips Bay Court is taking full advantage of the beautiful weather. So, we’ve compiled a bucket list catered to you, with something for anyone and everyone.

Fun Fact: when you live at Kips Bay Court, you live a 12-minute walk away from the East 34th Street Ferry stop. From the East 34th Street stop, you can hop on the Soundview Ferry, the East River Ferry, or the Astoria Ferry, and get to Pier 11. At Pier 11, you can enjoy all that the South Street Seaport has to offer, as well as Wall Street and the Financial District. PICNIC IN MADISON SQUARE PARK

11 Madison Ave

Warm weather always calls for a picnic, and what better place to do so than Madison Square Park? Located only 11 minutes from Kips Bay Court by foot, Madison Square Park is an ideal location for residents to go and relax with some snacks. Bask in the sun with views of the Flatiron building and a conveniently placed Shake Shack!

TIPSY SCOOP

215 E 26th St

When the weather gets warm, there are two things we love to do: eat ice cream and have a nice cocktail. At Tipsy Scoop, they’ve combined the two! Tipsy Scoop ice cream is infused with alcohol, making it the perfect summer afternoon treat. Each of their ice cream flavors contains at least 5% ABV, and they have all kinds of flavors, such as Strawberry White Sangria Sorbet and Sour Power Cherry Vodka Sour ice cream. Luckily for all Kips Bay Court residents above the age of 21, it’s only a 4-minute walk away.

TAKE THE TRAM TO ROOSEVELT ISLAND

254 E 60th St

Everyone knows NYC for their subways and buses, but everyone seems to forget about their coolest form of travel: the Roosevelt Island Tram. For Kips Bay Court residents, getting to the tram couldn’t be easier. Just hop on the M15-SBS train for 4 stops, getting off at 57th, and walk to the Tramway Plaza on 60th! While on the tram you’ll get a view of NYC unlike any other, and once you get to Roosevelt Island there is lots to explore. Make sure to visit the Blackwell Island Lighthouse and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park.
