Kips Bay Today
Kips Bay is an important hub of medicine in the city. The New York University Schools of Medicine and Dentistry are here, and along First Avenue are, Bellevue Hospital and The Chief Medical Examiner's Office. The neighborhood is home to many of the staff and doctors affiliated with these facilities. While most of the brownstones and townhouses that once lined the streets are gone, small pockets are still found here and there. Known as a middle class neighborhood, Kips Bay is growing and you will now find many luxury hi-rises lining the avenues and side streets; yet, it continues to possess all of the charm and convenience of a small city "neighborhood".
The Renaissance of Kips Bay Court
Kips Bay Court is currently undergoing extensive renovations to upgrade its facilities, including, new windows, roofs, and brick maintenance.
